Meet Sally & the Family {A Family Session at the Beach}
Welcome back, guys and gals!
We recently had a fabulous session with Sally and her family. We met up with them at the world famous Kite Beach in Tableview - where on windy days one can see people flying coloured kites of all different forms and sizes.
The area is vibey both day and night. During the day, life revolves round the beach with kite surfing, surfing, stand-up boarding SUP, running and cycling. The coastline boasts one of the best along the region for kite surfers seeing an annual string of competition events such as Red Bull King of the Air and many more.
While the weather was absolutely perfect for photo-taking, it was Sally and her family that made this shoot such a joy!
John, dad to Sally and grandfather to Jake, Lily & Alfie, lives in the UK with his wife Jenny. Alfie, Jake & Lily's cousin, also lives in the UK and the three of them came to visit the family here in South Africa.
Sally, Jake & Lilly's mom, was born in the UK but moved to Cape Town 20 years ago after coming on holiday & falling in love with Cape Town. Jake & Lily are both half English & half South African and enjoy living in Cape Town with all its beautiful beaches.
Let's not forget about Spot & Cooper who had an absolute blast running around on the beach, digging holes in the sand and playing with their tennis balls!
What are some of your favourite family activities?
"We love anything outdoors," says Sally, "We love the beach and the beautiful scenery."
What are some words of wisdom you have for other families preparing for a family session?
Just relax and be yourselves. Have fun together and remember why you are there - to catch a memory!
Were you worried about any parts of the session beforehand?
No. Only that the wind would blow! The conditions were perfect though :)
Tell me about your favourite parts of our session, or why you enjoyed the session.
We loved how easy it was and how relaxed it was. There was no pressure to pose!!!
As you can see from the photos as well as the comments, this family is definitely a very close-knit family who clearly love spending time together.
